Technically speaking, the legacy API is in Labs, as noted on this
page: http://code.google.com/apis/gadgets/devguide_landing.html. The
gadgets.* API (which on that page refers to gadgets.* which works on
multiple containers, not just iGoogle) is also in Labs for the iGoogle
implementation. The intent is to have gadgets.* and opensocial.* come
out of Labs in the future after the rollout is complete. A number of
niceties (specifically around deprecation, notification) will be
required as part of that branding.
