Yeah...post delay. It seems to have started working again (miraculously) just as I'd found a work-around to it. So... In case anyone else is experiencing this and it *hasn't* mysteriously started working again, here's the work-around:
Publish it as a webpage through the Google Gadget Editor. Copy the code it gives you (should be a script). Save your old gadget under a new name. Remove all the HTML and replace it with the script you just copied. It worked...for some funky reason. (Probably the same reason it never *stopped* working in "preview" mode...) Of course, all my joy at getting it to work in *spite* of google meant so much less 10 minutes later when the first gadget started working again. :p So yeah. Thanks for trying. :) Much appreciated.
