I wouldn't think this is the problem, but I'd recommend removing author_affiliation="Google" from your XML (unless you're actually employed by Google, which it doesn't sound like you are).
Otherwise, I'd say it looks fine. You don't have any other gadgets in the directory, do you? It's never been clear how the author page deals with multiple gadgets containing conflicting metadata. One other suggestion would be to resubmit this gadget to the directory; that can apparently force a refresh of the author info. Good luck!
