Please forgive what may be a naive question as I am quite new to all this and looking for some help.
I need to retrieve data from a back end server based on the user's email address. Is there a way to do this securely, so that the email address cannot be hacked? I've looked at oauth and opensocial a bit but have not yet found a solution I can get working.
