Greetings!

I am developing a dashboard in iGoogle and have created some gadgets
that are populated by a spreadsheet (xls file) that I've uploaded into
Google Docs. Is it possible to host these files on a server or other
computer (i.e. not in the cloud)? While I have set the permissions
such that the files are not shared with anyone, if the file path were
discovered, it could allow someone to access the data. With Google
Earth, the data file I have that populates a map "layer" can be
stored on a personal machine or network drive. The goal is to maintain
full control over the data by hosting in an environment I own and
control. Is this possible? Are there security levels that could be
applied?

When I've completed the dashboard, I want only a select group of users
to have access.
-Are there access controls in iGoogle to explicitly grant permissions
to specific users? (Note: I have read this page but am looking for
more granular control:
http://docs.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=37615
)

-Similar to GMail, is it possible to apply a setting so that the
iGoogle browsing session will "always use HTTPS?"

To sum up:
-Is it possible to host documents (off the "cloud") that populate
iGoogle Gadgets?
-Are there advanced access permissions to grant specific permissions
to specific users?
-Can the browsing session be run over HTTPS?

A caveat: I have little coding experience. While I welcome responses
(and can get support for coding), please let me know if there are non-
coding options.
