For at least a week I've been seeing unusual server load, and examining my logs, it looks as though the iGoogle feedfetcher isn't caching properly. I'm seeing multiple requests for the same gadget XML files and data files every second. At peak times, my server is struggling under the load.
Have any other developers been seeing trouble lately? Dan, can you check on the state of the cache servers?
