In order not to keep anyone hanging on any longer, I want to make it official that I’ve decided to discontinue my efforts to try to resurrect the “Hyperlinks” gadget. I appreciate everyone’s encouragement, support, and great feedback, but I am unable due to Google’s poor support and fear the risk of something else happening again in the future.
Therefore, I recommend migrating to the “Bookmarks” gadget because it was developed and is supported by Google. See the comments below for how to get to your links in order to copy and paste them over. *A replacement url gadget that works in 2 simple steps* kevin O'Brien - Nov 10, 2009 - Report this comment<http://www.google.com/support/contact/bin/request.py?entity=%7B%22author%22:%22AIe9_BFPWytSqH1lEUTc6RfPzamlqf1299cWbgYPj8vIrOuyJDNCI-yYoouvyLVD4uiIZSL8-b7o%22,%22groups%22:%5B%22ig%22,%221257853527%22%5D,%22url%22:%22http://randyscott777.googlepages.com/Hyperlinks.xml%22%7D&client=40&contact_type=anno&hl=en&source=ig> Okay this is what I have done to get all my links working again in igoogle in a similiar way to how Randy's gadget worked. 1. Get all you links back as described in my last comment below. 2. Use googles url gadget version called 'Google Bookmarks' place one on every tab you had randy's gadget running. 'Google Bookmarks' works differently but its okay. Also since its developed by Google I would guess it might be supported better! If we are lucky that is! ha ha! *Getting your old links back* kevin O'Brien - Nov 10, 2009 - Report this comment<http://www.google.com/support/contact/bin/request.py?entity=%7B%22author%22:%22AIe9_BFPWytSqH1lEUTc6RfPzamlqf1299cWbgYPj8vIrOuyJDNCI-yYoouvyLVD4uiIZSL8-b7o%22,%22groups%22:%5B%22ig%22,%221257852706%22%5D,%22url%22:%22http://randyscott777.googlepages.com/Hyperlinks.xml%22%7D&client=40&contact_type=anno&hl=en&source=ig> I think at this stage people just want to get all their links back. Weill thanks to 'Martin Visser' comment it is dead easy. Just to repeat what he said. But in more detail. Go to any of the tabs and select the 'Edit this tab' option. When tab setting are displayed scroll down to where it says Export/Import then simply hot the button that says 'Export' that will give you a save control which will allow you to save all your tabs (as an xml file) to your local PC. Now simply pick up the xml file using any editor and you'll then be able to read through the xml and pick out your links. At least then you will have all your links back to move over to a gadget that works.
