On November 24 the Google Calendar gadgets we use on our websites
stopped working when those sites are accessed via HTTPS. Instead of
displaying the mini calendar it now gives a warning about the security
certificate and when the warning is dismissed it displays the Google
homepage in the iframe. Prior to November 24 the gadgets embedded in
secure webpages were working fine.
Someone else reported this problem on November 27 in the Google Web
Search help forum:
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Web%20Search/thread?tid=03def0a3d48607c3&hl=en
According to them, the problem is that the script implementing the
gadgets is not specifying the protocol for the iframe source
explicitly:
...iframe src\x3d\x22//1.open.gmodules.com/gadgets/ifr?container
\x3dopen\...
This is the best place I could find to report this problem, but if
this should be reported somewhere else please let me know.
