After doing a lot of coding I realized the concept for my gadget is flawed-- I wanted a 'host' to invite friends to participate in a kind of forum, but I failed to take into account that a host's friends may not be friends with each other. The documentation on 'opensocial.IdSpec.Field.NETWORK_DISTANCE' looks like what I would need to allow friends-of-friends to interact, so that as long as everyone is a friend with the host they can talk. The documentation states that not every container supports friends-of-friends, and my tests have shown that iGoogle does not. Can anybody confirm this? Is there another way to get data between these people? As it stands, only the host is guaranteed to see posts from everybody.
