I have my Google Gadget Nahuatl Word of the Day hosted in my own domain and have experienced the same issues as you describe since around Nov. 20, 2009, -but only if the gadget was/is originally residing in my iGoogle Desktop. However, the gadget embeded in my blog and by some users in OpenSocial appears to display appropriately.
