This used to be documented in the legacy API here: http://code.google.com/apis/gadgets/docs/legacy/fundamentals.html#JS_URL but I can not find the equivalent section in the gadgets.* API. Dynamic height has been the topic of many discussions here about things not working as expected when iGoogle pushed the new API in production.
You should probably experiment with the legacy API first if you need this feature.
