Hi, The OP's issue is addressed in the issue tracker at http://code.google.com/p/igoogle-legacy/issues/detail?id=642&can=1&q=gadget%20editor&colspec=ID%20Type%20Stars%20Summary%20Status(Issue 642: Google Gadget Editor not saving or opening files). The issue with GGE has been resolved.
