Hi Mark, This seems to be a new problem, it appears that the xml preamble is corrupted. Basically the space between "xml" and "version" is removed when the Gadget Editor saves the file. Please file an issue in the tracker http://code.google.com/p/opensocial-resources/wiki/IssuesTab?tm=3 and I'll forward it along.
