You can add the gadget to the iGoogle developer dashboard. Click the "add
gadget to dashboard" button and fill in the url of the gadget spec. When you
do, it will send a verification email to your other address, the one listed
in the gadget spec. Copy the url from the email and paste it in the same
browser where you're logged in with your Google Account.

If you want to move your gadget from its current location, that's done with
an alias. Currently it's not possible to alias your gadget from the
dashboard. You'll have to register both gadgets and complete an alias
request as described at
https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?hl=en&formkey=cEhGZVVmVUNQVmI1N2lvOW5nOGJNUFE6MA.
It sounds like you don't have access to change the gadget spec for the
existing gadget, so in lieu of the consumer secret for that gadget we can
manually confirm you have control of the address in the author_email field.
