Just starting all this stuff,, I need to make a gadget that has a drop down selection list (27 or so items) to select the DB to query... I'd like something like the "All items" drop down on the Google reader Gadget or the "Actions drop down on the Gmail Gadget, both these dropdown lists seem to invoke some built in Browser styling, as they render differently on FF and Chrome... I'll also need the Refresh type function.. so I was hoping that I could find some similar examples and or tutorials,, It seems from looking at source that some interesting stuff is going on here that is not entirely exposed? I'm sure some of this is basic for long time devs.. but it is new to me.. So I'm happy to do the reading if I can get a few points in the right direction... (I usually do pretty well from examples!!) Or do I just need to get on with a more total Jquery type solution which I also have to learn!?
