I have inspected the compiled version of source code of libs parameters.
It seems that Google does not support gadgets.* API in type=url gadget.
If you really want to use gadgets.* API, you have to write your own
javascript file, which may convert the legacy API into gadgets.* API. :)

Please look into this issue.
