Just before your post, I also posted this query on
http://groups.google.com/group/bloggerdev?hl=en as well - so more info
may turn up there.

I did wonder whether it might be a failure of the igoogle/syndication
directories to handle the gadgets api (or
gadgets.util.registerOnLoadHandler / gadgets.io.makeRequest which we
share in common).

I've also tried "adding" my gadget using the friendconnect directory
i.e. http://www.google.com/friendconnect/directory/request?configure=true&url=
..... &id=... which displays preview/configuration display properly.
Unfortunately this directory is not relevant to my gadget - so there
is no point in submitting it there!

As you say - who is going to add a gadget that does not preview -
people will think its broken!  :-(

Does anyone else know whether this is definetly an API issue on the
igoogle directory?
