I can confirm that problem! The really strange thing was that there showed an additional option, that WAS NOT DEFINED in the gadgets sourcecode.
As a workaround I added that setting to my gadgets settings and changed all hidden options to visible. Now when you hit save in the edit settings area, at least the settings STAY CLOSED.
