Hi Justin, Several parts of the OpenSocial spec are optional or implemented differently by different containers. I don't have specific insight about why those details on iGoogle though. You might get better conceptual discussions on the Shindig mailing lists (see http://shindig.apache.org/mail-lists.html ). Google contributes to Shindig and some of our developers (as well as other knowledgeable people) are also on those mailing lists.
