Hi John, First time posts to the forum are moderated so there can be some delay. This problem sounds like the same as was raised on another thread at http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Gadgets-API/browse_thread/thread/5c49e8ee89edea29today. The iGoogle team is looking into it.
