Hello, I am trying to fix an old gadget we wrote here as our server's been migrated and the content of the xml file had to have urls updated, and the url of the gadget itself has changed. I couldn't find any information on how to do this.
I'd already updated the xml file (which we host locally) to pre-empt the change to our server, but the gadget still broke as I also need to change the url that iGoogle is calling. All I could see to try was re- submitting the gadget with the same Module Prefs tags and assume it will override the first one. That didn't have any effect yesterday, but today on a gadget search I see both gadgets there *sigh*. Do I have to request for the broken one to be removed from the directory? What about people with it installed, do they just have to figure out that they need to install the newer version? There must be a proper process for managing this that I somehow can't find any information on... any tips welcome! Thanks. PS I think all the useful info at this stage is here, Google sent me to the regular help forum first (see http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Web+Search/thread?fid=4e63c107f37c6d1a00049984cef14b67&hl=en). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "iGoogle Developer Forum" group.
