Thanks, I think allowing ads in the default view is a win/win for Google (who gets a portion of adsense revenue) and iGoogle developers. Canvas view is much closer to a regular webpage, which one can do without iGoogle platform. Default view allows to do really small web applications, and having a way to monetize that type of apps (Google could even offer a special format of adsense unit for that) would be a win for everybody. However, this seems to contradict to somebody's corporate thinking. : ( Google chosen to loose money too
So, I removed all ads from other than canvas view in all my gadgets. It is now time to move on and do something Google-independent. Please comment if you have any opinion on this.
