I can reproduce your case. In IGoogle your gadget is visible. When I try to
get it in e.g. a GoogleSites page, there is indeed just a frame.
Well, I am not an expert, but you might look in the API documentation. I
understand that some API's are deprecated.
If you use some of the deprecated API's, you can get unexpected results in
your webpage.
The old one:
http://code.google.com/intl/nl-NL/apis/gadgets/docs/legacy/dev_guide.html
And the new one:
http://code.google.com/intl/nl-NL/apis/gadgets/docs/reference/

I hope you can find the cause here.
