In attempting to come to terms with the "new look" for iGoogle, and develop a plan of atack for updating my old themes, I've noticed that the implementation of the new look is different in IE8 from that in Firefox, Chrome and Safari. iGoogle in Opera hasn't yet even been updated to the current "old look", let alone the "new look".
The header area in IE8 is higher than in other browsers and doesn't have a thin horizontal line across the centre. Also, the gadget headers are a solid pale blue in IE8, whereas they are a semi transparent white in other browsers. The different appearance of iGoogle in different browsers is making theme design very difficult. I was under the impression that the "new look" was intended to present a uniform appearance across all Google products, but apparently this is not yet the case. Can we please have some indication as to when iGoogle will appear consistent across all browsers, so we know where we're heading with theme design? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "iGoogle Developer Forum" group.
