My guess is that the image file is simply too large, at 3717x2540 px and 6.17 MB. Such high resolution and file size doesn't seem necessary, considering that the image will be scaled down (sometimes considerably) to fit the user's browser window. Try scaling the image down to 1920x1312 px and saving it with a bit more compression. It should still be possible to get a good quality result with a JPEG file of 500 KB or less.
If you still have problems, upload the image to your Picasa Web Albums and link it from there.
