Many thanks. I was bewildered by the failure of the usual procedures in creating and embedding gadgets on my site and couldn't find any reports of google gadget issues until I stumbled upon this post.
The link worked like a charm. I am not going to ask why Google team hasn't dealt with the problem on the Gadget Editor hosting page.. But such glitches make us look bad in front of the people we are trying to convince to learn to program on Google Code platform!
