It is really a shame, a lot of people are using this and the described 
alternatives (Chrome? Android?) are not alternatives. I am not aware of a 
site where i can find all the information which are relevant or important 
to me on one page. I think Google is getting crazy and the marketing people 
are getting the upper hand. I will not let me force to use Chrome or buy an 
Andorid mobile. It is like. You have to use all of our servies or go away 
like that you are forced to sign in to Google+ when you use Gmail.
