I have been using iGoogle since it was first launched. Currently I am using
it to follow news sources in Finnish, Swedish, English, and German. It is
hard for me to imagine how any other service would fully replace iGoogle.

I understand that companies and their products have to change. There was a
time when Google had a great passion for developing innovative products
that radiated excellence. Nowadays the passion is more and more about
financial performance. Good luck for the accountants! Goodbye innovators!
Goodbye Google as we knew you! We miss you!

The least Google can do now is to allow new entrepreneurs to continue where
iGoogle left. Transfer this business to a set of people who have a passion
for serving the community. It is they who should have our custom and
respect now.
