I want to use an existing gadget, such as Google Translate or Google Map
Search, in my web page. I visited the gadgets directory and went to
Webmaster Tools > Embed this gadget > Get the Code.

Now what I'd like to do is override some of the UserPref's -- such as
"title" or "up_location" or "up_sl".

Is there a way to use an API call from my web page to get a reference to a
gadget's UserPref's? I was hoping to be able to fetch a list of all the
UserPref's and perhaps set values for some of them. If possible, how can
it be done?

Or is the only way to set values to pass query string parameters in the URL
of the src attribute of the script tag?

Thanks in advance.
