I join the question .. but really do not think Google Sites go away in 
consideration with its current relationship with Apps Scripts and other 
Google tools.. of course I also think Google Gadget not will be shotdown 
but really without iGoogle we won't have a good tool for development & 
testing..

the Google announcement says we must change to apps of Web Chrome Store.. ( 
with surprise.. today I don't see the shutdown announcement in my iGoogle 
page) ..but as Google Gadgets and iGoogle are so involved we hope best 
alternatives for Google Gadgets or a best accuracy about their future
