Latest patch: use "-Dguice.executor.class=NONE" to disable the background
thread, as this makes the intention clear. Decided against using "false"
because that would suggest that "true" was a valid value - similarly using
the word "null" could be confused with the value null. "NONE" seems a
reasonable compromise.
