well, onejar is really good solution, I dont think either its worth breaking it up just to allow pluggable logger frameworks. Guice is "just" a tool, you dont want to monitor it just to get a detailed info if something goes wrong, so setting up a file-appender with appropriate loglevel would be totally fine. For anything the debugger is your best friend :)
