No reason, it would just be more convenient. Potential duplicate jars was a problem I did not consider. I guess the only way to resolve this would be by modifying the official jars.
Maybe a note in the documentation that while Guice is OSGi compliant, supplied dependencies are not, and Orbit/Spring EBR are places to go look for them? I would be happy to assist in writing some documentation on this.
