If I understand right, to "implement the EJB 3 interceptor support and 'bean autowiring' externally" is comparable to the SpringBeanAutowiringInterceptor does... though perhaps I'm wrong. I looked at GuicyFruit, but it didn't seem to be what I was looking for.
