Max, if you need a hand, let me know.  I had a successful run getting pom.xml 
files sufficient for using m2eclipse (instead of mvn eclipse:eclipse).  Also, 
if you're having problems with getting things into Central, I can possibly help 
there too.  Just ping me offline, unless it's covered and just a matter of time.
