I've written poms that are good for local development already, and will be submitting a patch shortly. However, as they don't do the jarjar and bnd steps, they're not really viable for use for deployed snapshots. I fear the situation that could be created if Guice has two build systems which produce subtley different jars, so it might be best for any snapshot building effort to build jars using ant, and then deploy them to maven.
