Unfortunately there are features (optional injection) that require he
com.google.inject variant so I don't think we're there.  We have some other
ways we plan to solve this so maybe once those things are in, we can do so.
 I agree with the sentiment, but i think we're not quite there.

(alphabetically) first in code completion:

com.google.inject
vs.
javax.inject

Said another way... I don't believe I've run into a JSR Reference
Implementation that includes a competing API.
