Hi all, while I'm perfectly happy with the built-in Java Logger Guice injects (I don't need a Log4j for example), I found out, that these generated loggers all sit on top of the root logger directly. It seems not to be possible to set an own Logger instance as parent for Guice, right? That also means, that if Guice is only used in plug-ins and libraries, it's not possible to build a hierarchy of log messages, right too (maybe not, because of the internal Logger class name hierarchy)?
Well, I'm able to catch the root logger with my own handler, but would prefer a more controlled, leveled environment. I also don't like the idea of modifying the root element (adding handlers, etc.) on a sub level of my software, which means, a hierachy of message handlers with different filters is not possible any longer (all need to sit aside on root level, all are executed at the same time). Any idea? Thanks in advance, Guido -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "google-guice" group.
