Thanks for the pointer to egap! I hadn't checked for developments after trying out the Guice Eclipse plugin a year or so ago.
Personally I haven't put much thought into exactly what kind of support it could give. I'm sure there are tons of refactoring and visualization opportunities--on first glance, it looks like egap is going to be great! Once I start using it, I should be able to provide lots of feedback about what other features it could provide. The first thing that comes to mind is integration with (or replacement of) the Guice grapher. I got the Guice grapher to work at one time, with much pain, and when revisiting it wasn't able to get it to work again.
