I actually came across Onami after reading up on the multiple persistent 
unit setup for Guice Persist - it's not exactly optimal.

Wasn't sure what the release status was for the project so was a little 
reluctant, but will give it a try now.
  
Any idea if there are any plans to introduce multiple persistence unit 
support for Guice Persist that is a little more frictionless?
