Hello Mike, You can see a list of attribute values if you query the attributes feed. Please see documentation here: http://code.google.com/apis/base/attributes-feed.html which contains some examples attribute feeds queries. This is actually how the drop down boxes on one of the Google Base showcased apps, Google Base Gadgets ( http://base.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=62679 ) so it would seem that others think this is a good idea too :)
