I'm working on a site that generates code to embed Google My Maps into users websites at www.mapchannels.com. I would like to add an option to use data from Google spreadsheets to generate a map.
Could a feature be added so that when a My Map is created, a spreadsheet is also created ? That spreadsheet would be updated whenever the My Map is changed and vice versa. This way JSON could be used to obtain the map data, an option that is not currently available for My Maps. Users could also arrange their place listings in order, which is also not available using My Maps. On a related point would it be possible to streamline the JSON delivered from Google spreadsheets ? At the moment alot of unnecessary header information is included which bloats the size of the json response. Perhaps a parameter could be added which would return only the cell information from the spreadsheet and omit the rest of the header data ? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Data API" group.
