Administrivia: Subscription changes, digests, etc.
A couple of quick reminders:
1) If you have a request for a list change that you want to email to
me rather than doing it yourself through the list control pages, such
as adds, removals, change of emails, etc., remember I need to be
emailed the ACTUAL address you are subscribed under. If you are
forwarding email from another address, it's that other address you're
subscribed under and that you need to provide me. Typically you should
be able to find this in the mail headers -- depending on your mail
program there are different ways to show all the additional headers
(in Gmail it's the "Original message" option). Without the original
email address, the other way for me to track down your subscription
address is by emailing me the message-ids you find in the headers of
recent messages. From those I can typically track down the original
subscription address.
2) Also, remember that when email traffic volume goes through high
intensity periods, you may find the Digest delivery option that
combines bunches of messages together useful, if you don't mind
sometimes significant (often significant numbers of hours) delivery
delays. This is settable from the list control pages.
