Google's fear
You can understand why Google is terrified of having any sort of
Ombudsman to interface with the public. This has been their position
for decades, and is now only more intense given their #AI push. Having
anyone actually at a high level in the hierarchy who actually cared
about the social implications of this tech and weren't 100% "Ra! Ra!
Ra!" fills Google with dread. -L
