Google continues flushing itself down the toilet -- this time with YouTube

It appears Google has now turned the search history feature of their
YouTube apps for televisions (e.g. on Chromecast with Google TV) into
garbage. Up to now, when you selected home, you saw a history of your
recent (and so most common) searches. That appears to be have been
killed by Google. Now you just get a list of bizarre garbage "sports"
crap "recommended searches" with little flame icons next to them
(oooh, they're "hot". I don't give a damn). Utter and complete trash.
No doubt AI-powered. If there's a way to turn this off, I can't find
it. This appears to have been a "feature" of the latest YT app update,
since there are some UI formatting changes as well. Google continues
to flush itself down the toilet. -L
