Google's fall from grace
Google reportedly plans to put an "AI Mode" on the main Google Search
page, connecting straight to its misinformation laden Gemini AI --
which is so bad that its disclaimer repeatedly reminds you that the
answers could be wrong and double-checking is up to you! In other
words, Google is no longer a source of trustworthy information, and
when it spews misinformation at you they aren't taking any
responsibility for what happens.
But they still want you to let their defective AIs make decisions and
set up purchases for you on the Web with their AI Agents. Meanwhile,
Google is reportedly eliminating 10% of managers and VPs, as they
continue to replace human beings with defective AI systems. And
Google's CEO reportedly basically redefined "Googleyness" in a way
befitting a firm that has given up pretense of being anything but
another desperate AI firm seeking any and all possible ways to fleece
unsuspecting users with AI garbage, no matter how many lives are
ruined in the process.
By trying to get users to ask important questions to Gemini rather
than Google Search per se, vast numbers of people will be fed wrong or
misleading answers to important questions because they were fooled by
Google into using Gemini rather than search.
Google's fall from grace and ethics is of biblical proportions. -L
