Chinese computer gear and government warnings
Here's the bottom line. No matter if your routers or other equipment
are marketed and/or made by American firms or anywhere else including
China, most consumer and SOHO gear is likely to have all manner for
firmware flaws and security problems. Government warnings based on
what-if and could-be concerns without evidence are worthless. This
stuff is churned out as fast as possible with minimal concerns about
security and privacy. So the focus on China is frankly 99% politics,
and don't let politicians of either party convince you otherwise,
they're all in the game. -L
