There are plenty of American workers to fill tech jobs -- Big Tech
fired loads of them!

I'm going to add here that while I agree that there are some very
specific, limited situations where H-1B immigration to fill technical
roles is reasonably called for, I find endorsement by Musk and by
extension Trump of the view that Americans can't fill technical roles
because they are "retarded" to be beyond repugnant.

This country is loaded with recently and long-term unemployed
engineers and others who had technology-related roles, who have been
forced out by Big Tech job cuts to pay for the firms' gorging at the
hideous banquet of fantasy AI and nonexistent AI profits, and other
excuses to lay off so many workers with families (even calling for a
union is enough for them to end up thrown out).

What these firms want for the jobs that they can't currently fill with
AI is CHEAP labor that they can dump quickly, that's the bottom line.

This is all on the CEOs and C-suites of these firms, and to claim
anything else is deeply disrespectful to the American workers who
helped build these firms and to make their executives filthy rich
beyond their dreams. -L
