Cellular Garbage

I just spent a damned hour and a half helping a close friend of mine
try to downgrade their phone with one of the most prominent cellular
MVNO carriers. An hour and a blankin' half.
Their UI is garbage, their back end is garbage. I can't begin to tell
you how frustrating it was -- for her and for me! -- and I'm supposed
to know this crap. I'm supposed to be an "expert".
And you know what? We finally gave up rather than risk screwing up her
account completely. After the next billing cycle we'll try again. Oh boy
I'm looking forward to that.

And you might say, why not call them? It's literally impossible to
hear them and understand what they're saying, and I have relatively
good hearing (for someone a long way past 20).
These firms push themselves as good alternatives for older users, but
it's the same sh*t. All this work over all these years and this is
where we end up.  Jeez. -L
