Apple says it supports the horrible and dangerous Kids Online
Protection Act (KOPA) that would massively restrict free speech and
require all Internet users to ultimately be identified via government
credentials for Internet use, much as in China.
Microsoft also supports KOPA, while Google and Meta wisely oppose it.
The legislation was just reintroduced in the Senate today, where it
passed overwhelmingly last year but was blocked in the House over a
broad range of free speech and censorship concerns.
